Finally, my ultimate modded LTD-200...
Slammed an original floyd rose bridge into it. Surprisingly it really helps improving overall sustain of the guitar!
Refinished using a couple of spray cans. (damn wasting time! I would never ever going to do guitar refinish work by myself anymore!!!)

Cosmetically it's not perfect, but it has killer tones with 18 volt EMG pickups!
BTW, sorry for the poor quality phone photos....

hey guys, being esp gurus as you are, wonder if any of you have seen these around davis?

http://espguitars.com/guitars_fx.html

i mailed them but they havent replied. wonder if any of you have this model and how much did it cost? im absolutely digging the looks of it, (IF ONLY IT CAME WITH A FLOYD ROSE) and wondering if there are any other alternatives?? i love explorers totally but not the gibson-styled ones with pickguards.

yup if you do know of other brands do let me know too!

you gotta go down and ask, davis' mail is like a white elephant, lol.

>Akeiser : Mind going more into the refinishing work? Like how you did it, what paint did you use, how did you dry it etc. I'm thinking of refinishing a guitar i'm gonna buy soon

U refinished the whole body into white?

Reindeer:
refinishing job is pain in ass, yet need alot of patience. I won't recommend u to refinish ur new guitar becoz it will need at least 1 month++ to let the paint to harden completely for buffing/polishing.
I'm using nippon pyrox color spray cans that u can find at homefix.
Instead of following traditional method for striping down the original color, i just sprayed the color directly to the guitar.

1. basically, spray the color paint into guitar for as many thin coats as u can.
2. let it dry for couple days, then using sand paper plus water to wet-polish it until very smooth and non-grossy surface.
3. let it settle for 1 weeks at least, spray clear color coats follow step 1.
4. repeat step 2, then wait let it settle for 1 weeks again.
5. apply car polishing compound (wax) and polish it into shinny surface and u r done.

it sounded very simple, but alot of times and efforts needed. 1st timer will encounter dozen of issues in between the process. beware and good luck! :)

if u keen, google for more informations.

Reindeer:
5.5SGD per can, i think i used 3 white color cans, 2 clear color cans.

DIstortIoner:
Thanks ya.
Hopefully it won't turn to yellow color so fast...
