its the language of whoever been living in the 80s and scared to see anything from the 80s being resurrected in 2007, especially rock music related. From fashion to lyrics to image etc

60's and 80's are the best eras, IMO. But their not on your list 60's = The Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and The Beatles. 80's = Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi, Poison, Def Leppard.

70's was the greatest era of all. Believe it or not it had ABBA, Beegees and a few other acts which I can't recall for Disco. For Rock there are loads of them..I don't have to name them. Pop, they had great musicians/singers like Billy joel, Carly Simon, Elton John etc etc etc.. All with a sound of thier own. No one sounds alike. And don't forget the Punk movement, though I'm not a big fan of them. The 70's was where musical creativity exploded.

For me its the 90s.. Grunge: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgardern, Alice In Chains, STP, Brit Rock: Oasis, Blur, Radiohead. Its a golden era of great band music. I misss the 90s...

For me that would be anything b4 the 90s...rock took a nosedive after Kurt Cobain died in 1994.
