Erm, you actually said the last thing that should worry Barca is ARSEnal's defence...which actually means Barca should be worried about other things than ARSEnal's defence...

Why talk about defence? every1 in the world knows that Barca can penetrate even the BEST of defences, wad more a horrible 1. Huahuahua*snort*
Barca will win la

true. with eto'o and ronaldinho and all.

BUT, one think you forgot bro, arsenal's fighting spirit. they would not give in even the most possible crack.

barca win? maybe, maybe not..
like they always say, David ALWAYS BEAT GOLIATH.
and to remember the chelsea-arsenal match last season when henry gave a superb fast goal.

that might just happen. dont wake the sleeping giant. IT IS HE, who can break into the most decisive and adamant defence.

i tihkn all arsenal need to do is, score a goal, and THEN you will see the best defensive team ever.

my prediction: Arsenal 1, Barcelona 0.

hey true man.. im not dissing arsenal or anything. i wanted to point out the danger of Barca. They are gd throughout attack, and defence (Puyol can be a machine). Anyways, we are in for a great CL final. Cant wait
Prediction: Barca 2-1 Arsenal (ExT) 8)

Why do I have feeling that this is all a set up of some sort.

Lol it does feel that way.. last season it was Liverpool, now it's Arsenal. I knew the world of soccer would be in for trouble when UEFA let Liverpool into this season's CL (despite their UEFA cup position) on account that they were last season's winners. Now if Arsenal actually manage to pull off a win over Barcelona they will demand the same treatment.

And that means... depriving another team the slot they strived so hard for all season. I feel it's not fair for the poor team which is denied the qualifying slot. Oh well, it's not as if Arsenal are clear favourites to beat Barcelona anyway. Predicting a one goal victory for the Catalan giants.

Interesting posts by AFC fans & foes alike...while U ppl whine and moan how bad we played against Villareal jus emeber that all of AFC's swashbuckling 4-0 wins etc and all out attack pay in previous CL tournements have always ended in early exits - always...This year, Wenger knows from the Portos & the polls etc that sometymes U gotta play ugly to win....

The finals against barca will be a diffirent kettle of fish all together. barca will be favourites and they will play an all out attacking game but AFC will hit them on the counter..My predictions barca 0 Arsenal 2! Optimistic? Halo - if can beat Ajax, Real Madrid, Juventus and the rest of the best in Europe on route to Paris, whats' there to be pessimistic about?

C'mon you GUNNERS!

Ashley Cole
Four missing but Cole set for comeback

Arsenal will be without four of their heroes from Villarreal for the game at Sunderland on Monday afternoon.

Alex Hleb (knee) is doubtful while Gilberto (ankle) and Mathieu Flamini (hamstring) are definitely out. Jose Antonio Reyes will also be missing after having his wisdom teeth out. On the upside, Ashley Cole is likely to be included in the first team squad for only the second time since October 2.

All the newly injured players could be fit for Thursday’s trip to Manchester City. However Philippe Senderos, who injured his knee against Tottenham last Saturday, is expected to be missing for three weeks. Theo Walcott suffered a knee injury himself in the Reserves on Thursday night and will not be involved at the Stadium of Light.

“We have a few injuries,” said Wenger at Friday’s pre-match press conference. “Alexander Hleb is doubtful for Monday, he has a little knee problem. Gilberto will be out certainly with an ankle problem.

“We have Flamini (hamstring), Senderos (knee) and Reyes, with the extraction of his wisdom teeth. But they could be back on Thursday.

“Theo Walcott got injured in the Reserves last night and came off after 10 minutes, but we think it will be a question of days rather than weeks.”

Cole played another 90 minutes in that 3-1 victory at West Ham. Having not had a recognised left back for six months, Wenger now has two. Gael Clichy came on for the injured Flamini at El Madrigal on Tuesday.

“Ashley played last night and came through well," said Wenger. "He had no problem today, and will be available for Monday.

“At the back I do not think there will be lot to change, maybe Ashley can come in I do not know yet but Clichy has done well. Sol Campbell will play at centre back though.”

Wenger - Henry is rewarded for a clean life

Thierry Henry’s dedicated way of living is the secret to his achievements, according to Arsène Wenger.

Last night the Arsenal striker became the first player in the history of English football to win the FWA Player of the Year award three times. This prestigious prize has been running for 59 years and is voted for by this country’s top football journalists. Arsène Wenger argued that this latest ‘hat-trick’ was just the repayment on a devoted lifestyle.

“It’s a reward not only for an exceptional football player but when you win it for three years it means you have dedicated your life to football,” said the Arsenal manager.

“Many times people get in the newspapers for the wrong headlines. In his case I feel that this is a reward for a very clean life.

“He is a role model for every striker, like Dennis Bergkamp before him. Unfortunately you get more of the headlines when you go out at 3 o'clock in the morning and you are drunk.”

And watch out Premiership defenders, Wenger believes, there could be greater feats to come from the 28-year-old.

“I think the next two years will be his best,” said the Frenchman. “It’s when he has the physical quality and the experience.”

20/1 - Sunderland v Arsenal - Van Persie to score first and Arsenal to win 3-0

But their not even in the top 4 right now.

Though I'm not an Arsenal fan, I do admit that when they were on top form, they did re-define the beautiful game. History, however, does not entitle a permanent CL slot, if Arsenal do not qualify (based on league position). Every club's fan feels nothing but antagonism towards their rival clubs, so your statement about spurs is understandable. Don't u think though, that every other team strives towards CL qualifications too? Just that some clubs get the result, some, unfortunately, don't. Based on Arsenal's "top 2" finishing since Arsene Wenger, obviously they did deserve qualification then, but as DarknessFury said, they're not even 3rd or 4th now.

haha Chelsea is top in the league but they're not playing football. bunch of low grade actors. wish someome could do a Cantona on Moanrinho

Just want to ask if this is true.

Arsenal has made it to the finals this year(Champions League), that means that The gunners are guaranteed some large amount of cash rite? For TV rights and all that?

So Does it mean that Arsenal can afford to sit out next year's European competition and still afford it due to this year's influx of cash?

I heard something like this somewhere,,,please tell me that i wasn't dreaming....

Thanks!
