eh me too sia...1 month to go for my ICT, another one of those 2 week holiday from work :D

But at least my 2.4 timing is still better than valo.

HAHAHAH :D

sec 1- j2 can keep failing one what... enjoy it la... it's a no bonus thing. i walked my 2.4 this year... 18 minutes. enjoy the sea breeze...

This is what the boys all say... but you're courting trouble if you do that. Train before you even step into BMT, and when BMT comes, you feel less pain and suffering going through the exercises compared to your peers who don't train.

Going to BMT fit and ready, BMT is chicken feet like holiday. You can do almost anything although tiring... but your peers are all "moaning" abut muscle aches and stuffs. How nice? If you get posted to the new Tekong Camp... then that is what I really call a nice breeze by the seaside watching the sunset.

Time to play soccer in ICT lohhh...   maybe plus a beer and game of pool in officer mess. Shiok! Perfect holiday.

Which young player do not join clubs as a trainee and nobody? Not like it only happens in AFC? Right? MUFC is the leading club in young players development, in that case, I think MUFC will be affected more than AFC, given top players like Beckham and RVN also leaving the clubs for various reasons.

well..lets see what my timing will be next year...
i've been jogging around yishun park to train my stamina.

ok so i lied i've not been moving my sack around for the whole of the sch holiday... every day i will wake up and plan to go do some running but i end up watching tv till wee hours.

OK going to be sec four next year. i ace my 5 stations but must beat the 13 mins for 2.4 .

DoubleDecker

yes, point taken that it doesnt just happen at AFC but what I'm saying is that Wenger took a chance on Cole when Winterburn retired and later by selling Silvinho... to give cole his big break... Man U, Barca, Real etc would have just gone out and bought an established left back, U know what I'm saying? Its the same now with Wenger putting his faith in Gael Clinchy & the rest of the younsters .... though personally Im not a big fan of "lembek" Senderos and "Maniac" Lehmann - ahhh how I long for the Pat Jennings, David Seamens, Tony Adams & Steve Boulds of time gone by. Gentlemen footballers who played hard but fair and were loyal to the club.

Boot Toes Cashley cole....

Yes of course, I do know where you are coming from. It was equally upsetting for MUFC fans when Beckham (or even before that Schmeichel to be replaced by joker Bo-tak-thez) left MUFC. But then again, fans also should respect the decisions of the players. Afterall, they are the one to shed sweat and blood on the pitch. They know better what is best for themselves at certain point of their career. When a club decides to offload them to earn profits, do you think the club will take into consideration of their loyalty? Definitely not.

In EPL, we hardly hear of corruption. There are, but very very seldom. Serie A is supposed to be paying top money too, but still trailing behind EPL? Perhaps that higher income factor has kept corruption at bay? It's not really that bad afterall. They are paid the top money and given us - the fans - quality entertainment on the pitch which they see as life, unlike ppl who eat mee siam without see hum but still not much achieved right?

Not only AFC fans is upset... other club fans are the same. Trust me, I was extremely sianz when Cantona announced his retirement so early... so upsetting that even some other club supporters feel the pain.

Lets all not forget that other ingrate NICHOLAS "MONEY FACE" ANELKA... now languishing in the bright lights of Bolton .... cole will go that way too....

DD - Yes I hear & agree with you on most point except for cole's case - he BIT the hand that fed him by airing his dirty laundry in his autobiography. He also accused AFC of selling him out BUT he himself went to meet Mourinhno & the chelski rep while under contract at AFC - which according to the rules is a no-no. After all that, then he had the cheek to use it as leverage for higher pay.

Well well... perhaps the problem is already present way before the talks went underway with Chelsea. Usually such problems don't occur overnight... look at Beckham for instant... all the fame and atrocious lifestyle... it was quite taxing on Fergie too. He's a really good player, but I think he's like "a singaporean in singapore" ... too sheltered and should be casted out to experience life elsewhere.

hmmm...
talking abt young talents...
MAN U has always spotted gd young talents thru their academy...
ppl like beckham, scholes, butt, the neville brothers all went thru the academy
while AFC or Wenger has a gd talent spotting skills which i guess is 1 of the best in england...
ppl like anelka, fabregas r gd examples...
LFC used to bring in talented english players as well but in recent yrs,itz becoming scarce although they stil won the youth fa cup last season...
they used to nuture robbie fowler, michael owen, steve mcmanamann, steven gerrard, jamie carragher, jamie redknapp to name a few...
but i guess, the best youth academy in england goes to west ham...
they've always supplies the most talented youngsters thru the times...
a lot of the big english players now comes fm upton park...
this is comparable to ajax amsterdam...
another team worth mentioning not for nurturing youngsters but bringing out the best of "has-been" players wud be bolton wanderers aka sam allardyce's dad's army...

Bye Bye Arsenal...   And it's only half a season.

=====================================================

LONDON (Reuters) - Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is struggling with a hamstring injury and unlikely to play again this year, his manager Arsene Wenger said on Tuesday.

"Thierry has started his rehabilitation," Wenger said on the club's Web site (www.arsenal.com). "He is still not completely free from his hamstring (injury) so he starts again.

Asked if the France forward was out until after Christmas, Wenger added: "Realistically, certainly yes. I would not want to set a time on it. We will take the needed time."

Henry's fitness has been in question since he played in a Premier League match at Fulham on November 29, which was his last appearance for almost a month.

"We hope we can slowly build him up and make him competitive again," said Wenger. "The neck problem is sorted out. He had a sciatic nerve problem and a hamstring problem. And (the hamstring) is the most troubling for him now."

Sixth-placed Arsenal visit Wigan Athletic in the Premier League on Wednesday with defender Kolo Toure back in the squad after a one-match ban ruled him out of Sunday's 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

"We have Kolo back," said Wenger. "But he's the only one from Sunday. (William) Gallas is still out, Henry is out but (Tomas) Rosicky looks very, very promising and has a small, small chance for the weekend. Gallas too, maybe."

France defender Gallas has struggled with a thigh injury and Czech midfielder Rosicky has had a hamstring problem.

So funny to read how Fergie scoffed Peter Kenyon for saying Chelski going to be the big club by 2014. ROFL!!!

I think Fergie is pretty right on this, not because I am a MUFC supporter. The rest of the clubs like Arsenal, Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona and stuffs... look at that damn history behind each of them. It's really very difficult for me to visualize Chelsea in the same cohort as them. Win medals they can, but class them together with those... way out of tune.
