Gibson originally made a sg/v hybrid guitar in the 70's and was quickly forgotten. Zakk had the shape in mind since the early 90's and wanted the shape to become Nicks signature guitar, because he used to play SG's and Flying-V's. But it never happened, and Gibson refused to make that shape for Zakk. When Dean made it, Gibson got scared and made it for him

imho the zv fails like the zakk wylde epi custom cos they chose to go for the cheaper emg hz pups. You won't get his true sound plus an upgrade would cost u around 300 including installation. The marcus henderson signature looks to be a much better buy with its emg actives and original floyd rose.Now thats a winner.

Im so glad nick went with washburn instead. His is the wi66anc signature for the cheaper non usa version. Comes with the emg active zakk wylde pick up set, buzz feiten tuning system. Also has better upper neck access than the epi zw.

Will definitely consider the marcus henderson for future purchase.
