Elixirs came uncoated.

My nanoweb came like uncoated...
Setup the guitar yesterday, played fine,
then took it out today for a stretch, the G B E rusting.

A little unusual since i use nanoweb and polywebs, they don't fail until at least 2 months later.

Gotta get new pack..
Anyone encountered this problem?

Actually elixirs are all coated, dont really like em but yes, they are durable

I'd stick to uncoated ernie ball/ghs

Latest production onwards not coated until they secure a better deal for coating material. The package doesn't show it has anti-rust coating.
If they cannot find a good price on the coating they'll stop making coated strings entirely.

And what i saw was...
Nanoweb, Nanoweb with anti-rust plains.
Both $15.
Eh?
I forgot which one i bought. So maybe i bought the one without the anti-rust, so the G B E rusting now.

anyway,
i believe it's ALL strings coated.
If not they won't last me the whole time for a few months.

They announced it slightly over a month back when they discontinued their cables.
I believe most dealers still have the anti-rust coating on hand, so we won't be seeing the non-coated ones for some time. But that time will come sooner or later (unless they manage to find a third party deal that is lucrative enough for their coatings).

Eh.. I think it's the plain (NON-Coated) steel strings that had materials supply shortage. NOT the coated strings..

i.e. Zesn.. you should certainly write to Elixirs and make some noise.. take some photos.. etc. Its their reputation at stake.. they will probably do something to fix the problem.

Yes the Poly or Nano coating is still there, but the anti-rust coating is not. There is a difference.

Apparently the non-anti-rust ones are already in SG.

I have the same problem as you. I bought 2 packs of the strings. Both strings lasted less than 4 hours before it rusted. Really disappointing.
