Edwards Les Paul Club

Hi all,

I have decided to open up this thread, so that Edwards users can gather and discuss more, as well as to share with people who are keen on this brand of guitars.

I personally feel that they produce very fine and well-balanced les pauls, not too heavy, as compared to the Gibsons & their offerings are almost similar, with stock upgrades like Seymour Duncan pickups, as well as reasonable pricing. Most of all, they are Japan made :) Somewhat tailored for our physical size, as well as our pocket size

So feel free to ask anything or share anything over. For the benefit of those who really are keen on this brand, pls dun post unecessary comments (which might cause the closure of this discussion thread).

Thank you and have a great year 2007.

As most of you would know, I wanna sell this guitar quite some time ago to fund my POT. but after much trying + reasoning, I decided to keep this axe & may even be planning on a second one (either the SG or a LP Goldtop) depending on how much I am gonna get from my hong bao $$ kekeke..

This axe is very nice to play with - thick & full crunch tone, not muddy at all. Weight is just nice for me (since I am not so big-sized like the ang mohs). The only drawback so far for this axe is the neck i.e. when u hold the neck with your hand, u can feel the edge of the sides against ur fingers (quite sharp, as compared to most other LPs which have smoother edge on the side).

The tone is quite sharp, treblish when you plug it into a valve amps or a Fender amp.. I have no problem with my solid state ToneBlaster 225 i.e. when the treble is set to 6 or 7 on both amps, the valve side sounds super sharp until i have to lower to 3 or 4. Other than that, I have no complaints or whatsoever.

I would give it a rating of 3.5 stars out of 5, for quality, finishing, tone & playability.

khalid: pertaining to ur question, you can try Davis. they may not have the physical stock there, but u certainly can order through them. they have a catalogue over there, go check it out.

dun worry, the catalogue is just outside the store & u can view them as long as u want, the boss won't stare @ u for flipping through the pages

I bought a grassroot from Davis 3yrs ago, wonder if they still sells them. Im funding for an edwards too :D

some of them has a slim neck, i wonder how slim is slim. if only davis brings in more edwards. E-CY series in particular

dont mind i add in grassroots

Nice inverted headstock + Invader neck pickups eh...

They will bring these lines of products in, if there is enough demand in the market. As it is right now, not many people know about this brand of guitar, so I am trying to create the awareness, so that u can see more Edwards guitars being displayed in the store.

The price for such a beautiful MIJ piece is really BANG FOR BUCKS!!

Thanks! the headstock is nice, but the tuners aint so friendly, gonna change them 1 day. those are just stock pickups =)

yeap agree with you. i think ppl aint aware of it is due to the limited amount of edwards in SG. alot of us would not fork out more than 1k to buy a guitar without testing it.

i have yet to own 1, but i believe they are really good quality guitars. i believe MIJs has yet to dissapoint anyone so far?

The E-CY series should appeal to all the RGs, JACKSONs lovers out there. For those who are dissapointed by ibanez color, you can take a look at Edwards.

They not just have nice color, flame/quilt/burl maple top and even reverse headstock :D

Definitely a wise choice to invest..

Thanks ShredCow for stopping me from making yet another folly mistake to buy something on impulse..

I think I am pretty satisfied with this line of guitars and will continue to use it.

Thanks neo for introducing me the guitar.

I might wanna get this...

Burl Maple(aint they lovely Neo?)

insanism: i think because grassroots are lower end model, thus they are unwilling to do custom order, same for LTDs. you can try ordering through ishibashi.
