hi guys,

GAS is back! For pple who love mellow sounds, sometimes we feel the urge to get nasty right?

I was thinking of adding an edwards guitar to my repertoire, any suggestions? :D dont wanna spend too much..

just get it. edwards guitars are seriously awesome.

just ask owners of edwards guitars. they'll testify for u

thanks alot dudelove! but i need to know which are the better ones! thinking whther i should aim for the artist models or just the normal ones..

u should go try it out dude. sorry i dont own an edwards. but i've played one before at g77. i dont rmb what model it was. but i know it felt awesome in my hands (subjective) and it could easily match up to a gibson les paul.

to me i rate tokai, burny, edwards, orville very highly.

if u are on a budget that around that 1k region, u will know u cannot afford a gibson, and u might be shortchanged if u get and epiphone. then consider these few brands. they will not let u down.

try them out for urself and u be the judge :)

tried out an edwards alexi... IMO, it feels really smooth.... i think its the SD blackouts..... really gnarly stuff.... neck was super fast too...

Used to have an Edwards LP98LTS. Sold it. I think Jony has it now, though he may have sold it again too.

The Edwards guitars are VERY well made. If Gibson made their guitars like Edwards did, I'm sure there'll be less flak on Gibson QC. What I didn't like about the Edwards, was the SD pickups, but that's me. I'm not an SD fan. Had I the patience to slap on a set of Gibby BB Pros on that one, I think I might still have it now. Heh. It was light, sustained very well, and the frets were well set. It was quite obvious that the guitar was very machine made (CNC), but then again, at that quality, consistency and price, who's gonna complain?

So... Nuff said. Go buy one and see for yourself!

yah i noticed that the edwards models mostly has SD pickups, SH4 and something something, no idea wht kind of sound it produces! i looking more at the less Gibby looking models..

well, yea... mostly SD... the eclipse models are slimmer compared to a Gib LP... i feel its more comfortable for asian.... maybe we have smaller hands... hahaha

you should try without letting all these overly-positive comments influence you...
there are some who even commented that they sold their gibsons for their edwards...
well...

in my personal humble opinion, you're paying for what you get, QC wise it is probably good (well, so is a made in indo yamaha pacifica), quality of tone is about there of an epiphone

of cos if u like mat finish, that's good for you... some of us prefer more protection, and that chalks up some cost...

cheers

haha i always have a phobia of gg to davis to try.. The guitars look so difficult to take out and i feel embarrassed to try without getting it! and the shifty looks i get around the place.. hmm

I feel the same too. The store is damn crowded with people walking past when you try. Felt so uneasy :(

precisely so; that single time i tried the the edwards out is becos for once it was not on outside display, but off the hooks.I asked to try it, but instead stood aside like a fool while the sales guy shredded away for seven minutes

Realised it would be an epic mistake to let it go.

I own a Gibson as well... I can't decide between the two. Both are just as fun to play really.
