Dyna Comp or Modtone Clean Boost

I'm not very sure of the differences between these 2 pedals. I roughly know the Dyna Comp will smoothen my tone out and the clean boost will increase my volume.

I could be wrong, though.

The Dyna Comp is a compressor, the Clean Boost is a..clean boost. What are you looking for?

A compressor and a clean boost are two different things. Which one do you think you need? Do you need something to compress and smoothen some dynamics or need a boost for solos?
