Hey im about to get my first wah pedal and i cant decide between the Budda Budwah and the Dunlop crybaby 535q. From what i know the Budda wah has a more rounded/warm sound that is good for clean playing and has a smaller sweep as compared to the dunlop crybaby 535q but im wondering, since the 535q has so many controls is it possible to achieve the sounds similiar to the Budda wah?

thanks dude. btw, im planning to get the slash crybaby is it true that the only difference btw that pedal and the original dunlop 535q is the extra 2 knobs?

hope you've tried those pedals & heard what they had in store for you.

the Bud Wah is utilitarian- doesn't sound too plain, nothing too stellar either. enjoyed it with single coil equipped guitars.

thanks, i tried the both but i cant seem to decide it seems that the dunlop one is more versatile but the budda one produces a more 'high end'?? or unique sound whereas the dunlop one has a more common sound? im not sure what do u think? lol

despite the boutique aura surrounding the Bud Wah, there are others in the market which are on par/ more appealing (tone-wise) than it. does owning it make one's tone more 'high end'? not quite...

When it comes to sonic preference, let your ears decide...

A stock 535Q might not get that single sound a Bud Wah can... and that is all the winning edge a Bud Wah needs.

And really. You need multiple wah sounds? You sure? Yes, its useful no doubt, but will you use the range?

If you think the Bud Wah sounds unique and different, plus it pleases your ear, go for it.

I owned the Budwah a while back. Great wah, very pristine.

I suggest you go try the wahs you intend on getting. Words and reviews cannot really represent their varying tones.
