or you can submit your phone number to register.
oh wait.... that's Gmail. Sorry, I mixed up

there's someone here doing a Dumble clone. he brought his proto to G77. if anyone's interested, i can link you to him...

Curious... how do you do a dumble clone?

Do you look inside one and try to clone? Or do you listen to a lot of dumble amp recordings and then try to clone that tone?

Wonder which clone is that proto Sub?

lol. imo a Ceriatone Wreck would still be different from one of those Trainwrecks. But for the price, I'd take Ceriatone any day. :P

It basically boils down to 2 things: Your financial status and how purist you are. Nothing much to debate/argue about I guess as it's the same in most hobbies. I've been into toy collecting where people would pay 14000USD for a prototype while others who would rather pay just 50USD for an almost exact reproduction, just for the fun of it. :)

no specifics given. it's a real DIY unit, the roof was removeable, i was shown the innards, quite impressive. when i played it, it was still devoid of a cooling fan but the tone was there.

the thing with this kinda amp is that, it's arguably singular in function. fans of high gain stuff but still prefer the smooth Dumble-type drive, will have to hunt for other units.

hi,
I own a dumble clone by fuchs. i have no idea what a real dumble sounds like except through listening to albums. the fuchs is damn good! the clean tones are very fat yet clear. the drive is very very fat with the right guitar. it cannot really chug. it doesn't sound like a marshall, but its closer to a marshall type drive than fender or class A type 'buzzy' (to my ears lah) distortion. its not really agressive, just smooth, fat and clear. works good with most pedals too. if a dumble sounds anything like this then i guess they must be good as well. i tried the dumble clone by the local guy who left the prototype at g77, it sounded a whole lot like my amp but with less highs, it was darker, and had less presence somehow, even with the settings identical to my fuchs. the amp was nice but a bit overpriced IMHO. hope this was helpful.
