Hey guys. A friend of mine left his DSL 401 combo with me some time ago while he went overseas. He wont be back for a few months.
It's worked fine until suddenly it just shut off by itself last week. No electricity running through it, and when I took a closer look I noticed a faint burning smell. I know this can't be a good sign! I don't have a very in depth-knowledge of tube amps besides letting them warm up and cool down, and I have absolutely no idea what to do.
Would someone be kind enough to give me some detailed guidance through this? Really am quite worried, especially since my friend entrusted me to take care of it for him. Would really appreciate any help. Cheers.
