Drum Workshop @ Youth Concert Southeast '06

Once again, Singapore Drummer's Circle is backk and excited to present a Drum Workshop @ Youth Concert Southeast 2006!! :lol:

Organised by HeartRockSingapore & Southeast CDC, they have graciously extended to us a platform to bring together drum-minded individuals to learn more about drums & drumming.

Your drum hosts for the evening features Shahferi aka ahpek on drums, and Rahman (Bushmen) on percussion. They'll be having Jam! on stage, as well as answer your questions on drumming techniques, groove, drums and cymbal maintenance and any other drum-related topics in general.

I have scanned the info from the flyer for the timing, venue, location map etc

yo the workshop will be more of a performance with lotsa audience interaction. we've got about 1 1/2 hrs, it may be a tad unrealistic to have guys climbing on stage to take turns playing with the drum mentors... haywire balls :lol:

do come for one of our monthly drum xchanges and you'll get plenty of hands-on and "on-duty" senior drummers around to help guide & teach you... meanwhile, if you're free drop by for the above, am sure u'll learn a thing or two!!

It is indeed encouraging to see that you guys are bringing drumming to the general audience and let them know that drums, like piano and guitar, is also a musical instrument. Public awareness is very important, so that they will have a change in mindset that drums is a noisy "thing" and is not musical instrument.

I will definitely go to give you guys support!

I'm ignorant as to whats going on in our local art scene for many years bro. It only hit me yesterday that....not only "it alive and kicking" but the exposure and platform the organizers gave to chosen performers to perform their arts are outstanding.

Kudos and Respect'... man.
