Drum shells

I've been to many sites in usa and they seem be making drum shells so maybe i could post this one for those who would like to build their drums from scratch... simply like building a computer on ur own with all necessary parts.

My question to everyone would be, is there any woodcrafts or places which sells drum shells unfinished or finished ones? Im looking for toms but it seems that its real hard to find. so might be better if i buy some shells finished with all the bearing edges done and just buy some lugs and screw em on...

lugs can be quite hard to find, especially if the drum needs a specific one.

lugs can be found everywhere...
the hard things to find are the hoops and the shells..
its positivly cheaper if you buy a second hand tom or stuff rather than making your own.
cos you don't make in bulk. it'll be very very expansive.
if you need 50 sets, then music theme can make for you.

Yeah, would be great if drummers here could have the pleasure of building our own 'custom' drums.
