Does listening to satanic bands make you satanic?

i like wat thor had to say abt the gospel thing. i mean, listening to gangster rap doesnt make u a gangster neither does holding a guitar make u a guitarist. for the same token, listening to satanic bands doesnt make u a satanist. and how many of u here claim to know what satanism is all abt?

haha tell a satanist that he worships satan and i might get ur teeth readjusted to the back of your throat.

and btw kerplunk182 for the bands uve listed id like to see some actual proof of them being anti-Christ or satanic. its quite a popular misconception that anything associated with metal, heavy or black is satanic/anti-Christ. its not really how the music sounds or looks. it is what is meant behind everything that is done.

subversion: if u and me are on the same channel abt this, i suppose we could agree that anything which promotes the 7 sins should be considered satanic. anything with pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, sloth

For me I feel that it takes a really matured mind to actually listen to such "satanic" bands without engaging ourselves in satanism.

I listen to lots so called "satanic bands". Why?

It's because I like heavy metal music style of rhythem , sweep picking techniques which give that "lightning fast feel" to heavy metal music etc which I feel cannot not be found in other genres of music.

So what do I mean by it takes a matured mind to actually appreciate death/black metal music?

Death/black metal dwells into the inner tubulance and darker side to us human beings. Yes in a nutshell people would just brush it off as satanic but for me , we human beings are complicated emotional beings and death/black metal music is dwelling into the darker side to human emotions which I so strongly feel that there's nothing wrong with it. I'm pretty sure each and every one of us SOFTies have a darker side to ourselves.

The screaming and the growling vocals of death/black metal music , I see it as a form of emotional expression of the body to convey the image of exposing the darker side to human beings. When someone growls or screams what kind of feelings and emotions is the vocalist trying to project? Sometimes when you feel that life is taking a toil on your mental health , when things apparently does not fall into place , when you are so stressed up by harsh deadlines to meet in the office , do you feel that sometimes all you need is a good scream to sedate the emotional turmoil raging within? Probably even a good growl to let it all out perhaps.

Not many of us listen to death/black metal music because of the reasons mentioned above. Most of the time its usually , "uhhhhhhhh I listen to Cradle of Filth because they are cool what...." and that's all.

There's more to death/black metal music than just hard hitting drums , lightning fast guitar solos and shreiking vocals. I prefer to see it from a more in depth "non-satanic" point of view....

someone who doesnt understand english, listen to an english "satanic band" doesnt become satanic...he jus wonder wat the hell they are singing. The main point is all about interpretation, and how serious u want to take it. The bands that u mention are pretty mild. KISS is all about tomfoolery and manson does all these just to prove that we are all facist in nature, we judge people by their appearances, and that people are labeling him satanic just proves his point.

And also ask urself, which satanic band Hitler was listening to when he was growing up? :lol:

satanic songs does not make u satanic instantly & directly.. but indirectly.. it has adverse effects on ur subconscious mind, making u more violent, scolding all the vulgarities & tripping much more easily..

most christians will know who is the most power up, PRO MUSICIAN in this world.

its not u or me or any player in those metal bands, not even Clapton, EJ, Vai etc. can match him.. think..

I think boybands are satanic, they turn young teens into zombies worshipping them by buying all their merchandise, book taxi whole day to chase after them, pay 488 for a concert. camp overnight for their signatures and blah....now that is satanic :twisted: :lol:
