Do you buy cd's or download from bands you listen to?

well im one of the rare few, that download from the internet, the whole CD, and if i like most of the album, i'll buy the CD, if not i either keep the few songs that i like, and delete the rest, or delete the whole album if its ultra crap e.g. marty friedman's music for speeding, dramagods - love, the whole dokken discography except mr scary

anw if i recall abt a decade ago the policy was that it was legal to download music, but you have to delete it after 24 hours of downloading it or you have to buy the album or else it would be illegal

buy, of course. BUT, bootlegs, unreleased concerts, unreleased songs, unreleased version, all this rare stuff you cant buy as it does not EXIST in music stores, so no choice, you got to download them.

i PREFER download things rather than buying pirated cd's, pirated bootlegs, pirated compilations and all this unofficial stuff because i do not want to waste my single cents to those who make profit out of people fame. buying for them means you're supporting them.

Depends who it is and their stance.

e.g on My dying brides forum, Aaron, the vocalist said something like "If you download our music, i hope i meet you on the tour so i can rip your fucking head off you cunts!"

So i'm going to wait until inokki or whoever gets it in and buy it.

Same with metallicas new album, but thats coz im a huge fan.

Most of the time I download, but If i have the money to spare, i'll go and buy it.

My mp3 library is rather large :S

When i get a job next year i'll buy cd's again, even if i have mp3 albums so i can rip in higher quality.

they will make more and more
as people buy from them

e.g you're buying drugs from a dealer

if you dont buy from them
one day they will have no business

slowly...the pirate bankcrupt coz nobody buy from them

and also, when you buy from this pirate..
this means you're backstabbing your idol ( i use the word backstab coz i dont know which appropriate word to use..my eng sucks)
when you buy from them..
means you are giving them money
which = profit
a profit that not came from their hardwork..
but other people works..

imagine..u spend 1 year to do an album, alot fo hardwork, sleep 2 hours a day, kena fark upside down by producers all this stuff..
then easily other people take ur things and sell it off without giving u a single cents..
what would you feel man!

I only buy originals. Sometimes when there are new bands to check out, I might download one or 2 songs, or sample the CD from the shop / website to see how they sound like. But if I like what I hear, no doubt I will sure buy the real thing.
