I think if enough noise is generated online the newspapers will definitely pick up on it...eg. the case where the car saleswoman was killed by some ah beng while speeding in a test drive car..

Not that i'm a fan of people getting cheated but i think since there are so many victims something has to get going somehow.

The newspaper suggestion is good. More publicity and who knows you'd might get more people who were/are victims responding to this thread. Once this gets big enough maybe the police will do something about it. I think if this appears in the papers SOFT's bandwidth is going to overload.

I'm sorry for all the people who have had bad run-ins with her. I'm a private music instructor myself and i don't take lump sums from people. Someone mentioned earlier that the reason why he prefers his students to pay a lump sum is due to the commitment level that's involved. Yes, you do get people coming in and expressing interest in learning but after a while they get bored and lose the enthusiasm they had before and stop lessons. At the end of the day it's still the teacher's choice to arrange with the students regarding payment but for myself i really think that pay-after-lesson is still the way to go, especially if you're a private instructor.

btw, for small claims tribunal its only $15.. i've been to small claims twice and they really stand up for justice and i've gotten my refunds. and in a way its illegal to not turn up for small claims i.e if u guys bring mrs koo to small claims, she has to turn up for small claims.

i'm appalled that she actually still dares to scam pple even when a no. of threads in a no. of forums are exposing her! where else can she get her victims now? should we also go those forums to warn the other people?

Yeah, her CONFIRMED SLOT = confirmed NOT coming, because she is very unlucky woman that she will always fall sick many times, or probably her dad would pass away for the x-th time by now... Poor old man.

Hi, pls stop posting as if you know me. For classes which I have failed to complete, I have already make refunds or partial refunds.
I DO Teach. You can check with students whom have paid me full whom I have just sent them and see them through their exams.
I can provide you with students's contact nos and you can asked them yourselves how they fare for their papers, many of which paid in full for the 12 intensive lessons and so on, from grd 5 to 8.
Please do not post comments if you do not know me or have not taken lessons, while for students's whom lessons I have failed to complete, I have made personal arrangements to see to the refund. So please do not give unfounded statement. I have already mentioned that I do not have the intension of not turning up for classes at all, and I have also already made it clear that while it is my fault and a mistake that I have learnt that lessons should come first no matter what, but pls do not give comments unless you know whether I do teach or know all my students.

My father certainly is not in the best of health. But pls do not ask unrelated qn esp. if you are not one of my students whom i owe an apology to during these few months. If u r earnest, I will render you an explanation still. But please, I only owe all these students an apology.
And there's a good lot of them whom I see them through their exams this oct just only. Like I mentioned, I can give you their contact nos, to whom u can find out whether I do teach. There was this particular student whom I stayed till late midnight for hours just to push him for that better mark. So, pls, do not post as if you know me.
I am wrong in taking in too many students that I am not able to manage cause of things happening at home, but like I said, I have already make arrangements for refunds, and it is only these students whom I owe a huge apology. And to the many posts that U refer to, whose student's mum at motherhood.com posted the complain named Louisa, do you know that I have refunded them straight a good long time ago?
And she only told what was her side of the story, I kept quiet cause I didn't want to have anything to do with the whole 'bitchy' saga. She refused to shift the lessons a good 15 mins later, and I had to as I have students who needed upgrading. ANd I had a sister who was involved with a motorcar accident this whole time then, to which I had difficulties managing my time previously, but even after refunds were made, they still posted what they wanted to tell only.
So please stop posting unecessary comments. I have already mentioned so many times that this is a mistake but a lesson I have learnt on my part, that no matter what, my teachings should come first always. I still teach nowadays, and like I mentioned, a many of which I just see them through their exams recently only. And the reason why I didn't reply was cause I was busy making up previously missed lessons and teaching these past few weeks, preparing students for the oct theory exam. Hi Mrs Koo. I think I, against the side of a few other softers here, have defended your position more often than not as I myself am a private teacher. I don't appreciate how one's reputation can be ruined based on a few bad events blown up. Neither do I appreciate that one bad apple can potentially bring down the rest of the good ones in terms of stigmatization.

At one point of time when I had too many students to commit properly, I have found myself in your shoes too, so I know how it feels, making the necessary rights and ammendments along the way.

However, most of the things that you have said, in combination with what other have claimed for you to have said, when verified against many other parties, seem to not add up, and in fact, work against you. Add to the fact that you weren't here to defend yourself while others were piling "evidence" against your case, it looks as if you are the guilty party who is running away.

You have to understand that this is a forum for music enthusiasts who are passionate about music, not money. When you enrage a significant number of your clients who have cause against your actions, naturally, the entire population of forummers will emphatize with said "victims" and "gang up" against you. Surely, you can't blame them for doing so? If you continue with your line of reasoning, chances are, you are further inciminating yourself regardless of your innocence or otherwise.

So in a repetitive fashion mimicking the past, instead of angrily insisting that others keep out of your affairs as you have kept quiet for a considerable amount of time now, it is up to you to prove, if you want to, in terms of conclusive evidence, why the rest of these angry soft-ers, maybe the press or the authorities, should not be involved or interested to investigate.
