for 50odd bucks its good sound.
but of course there are tonnes of better
distortion pedals out there.
depending on whats your cup of tea.
behringer has a few different distortion pedals too.
check them all out. i would say its good value.
the only down side is that it is made of plastic.
so the durability factor compared to other pedals isnt there.
but if you take good care of it. it shant be a problem.
the mega dist?
if i remember correctly its 140-ish.
but i wouldnt recommend that unless your playing some real hardcore stuff.
the pedal is virtually like turnning the gain knob to the max and ripping it off the pedal.
it's $100 at davis. u cant compare to them because it's another kind of tones. u can get some pretty neat tones from there. its' advantage is the mid frequencies knobs, which allow u to dial many tones, and the overdrive/distortion for more versatility. but then again it's hard to use and u have to spend time getting a favourite sound.
ds1 and fab are easier to use, but the tone u can get is much lesser in variety compared to the jh1 imo.
