No i meant, i not talking about G2.1, i know it's for sale, but its not in the models i would like you guys help tell me which is a better choice ... And don't say, why no it's only whatwhathwat .. forget about the G2.1 for a few minutes ....

sounds sooo much better den the 707II

But one thing abt the 707II,
is you can put in a memory expansion card
thus allowing you to loop longer "samples"
(Not sure if the G2 can do this)

But sound wise ...

to change it to sound like an MIJ is super tedious ..~!

almost all the parts other den the chip and pcb.

Yeap. Thats 1 thing. But if you fancy the tone of the MIJ and your motto is "Anything for Tone", then go for it.

Analogman apparently does that mod.

You can guess from the country its made in (MIJ or MIT) and whether the sticker on the bottom of the DS1 is silver or black. But if you wanna be sure and see for yourself.. you have to open up the DS1. Carefully pry (its not that tough, but its not that easy to move hence the closest word I could think of) the circuit board out (however, some Boss pedals circuit boards come up very easily) and you would see something like this.

The long black rectangle is the chip you are looking for. There will be numbers on it... you can id it from the numbers.
