Hi fellow softies. The purpose of this thread is to share the various distortion pedals that ,in your opinion, sound decent or exceedingly above average. So if you have a recommendation on a distortion pedal that sounds awesome, do share it here, if you please !

Disclaimer: No dissing/dereogatory remarks on any pedals please. One pedal per thread !

So I'll start the ball rolling.

For me would be the MI Audio Tube Zone V3 (have not tried the other versions) running on 18V.

YouTube some demos.. Burgerman has a good demo on it.

Subdecay blackstar sounds posthardcore on a strat but sounds meh on other guitars, maybe too thick sounding

I love my Suhr Riot. I bought a Dr Scientist The Elements with hopes to replace it but the Riot still does it for me. Best pedal ever:)

Hands down MaxZ Hi-Gain Monster from Guitar77. I think it's between $180 to $210, but if you placed a value to the tone it is the sort of pedal that could be charged $299 if it was handmade in some US basement.

2 channels and don't be fooled by the name, it sounds great at low-gain. Gave my Mudhoney II a run for the money.

I really love my Jekyll and Hyde V2, not too nice when playing with a strat, but sounds KILLER with my PRS >:)

Bearfoot Dyna Red Distortion. Had it, loved it, sold it, regretting it. Now I'm using a vintage 1978 MXR Distortion+, which is also good but I miss the power and drive of the Bearfoot. I might plonk for the Mad Prof Mighty Red soon. Any sellers?? :)

goosoniqueworx seventheaven. hands down. I just got #99 today. my mind is blown and my fingers can't leave the guitar alone.

BOSS's Power Stack is a largely ignored pedal arguably because it doesn't say 'DISTORTION' on it so individuals new to the electric guitar, they have nothing to look forward to. i'm typically a guitar-to-amp person, i appreciate pedals with great amp voicings rather than one bent on propelling distortion at the expense of inviting tones. the Power Stack has all the great amp nuances from light to intense gain with sufficient saturation to avoid using another reinforcement drive unit.

i'm not a BOSS fan.
