Whoaaa guys on the Kerry Bashing - true, he looks like a WWF wrestler and he does play some nasty nasty solos sometimes (check out the crap he does on the Beastie Boys "Fight for your right to party" - God that sucked big time) but he has improved immeasurably since Slayer first started out (I have all their albums). One thing's for sure though is that all his solos are super-pumped full of a heavy, heavy dose of feeling and aggression. Arguably, his solos aren't supposed to be particularly melodic but are supposed to complement the whirling maelstrom that is the overall Slayer sound. Nobody can say that they're out of place in this context.

On a side note, at "Ozzfest" in Milton Keynes, U.K. about 10 years ago I managed to get backstage cos one of my buddies worked at Roadrunner records (Fear Factory were on the bill) and I tried to get Kerry King's autograph when I spied him. I followed him round and round for ages and he kept turning his head towards me and then walking away faster! It was kind of comical as it got into a bit of a chasing game at one point. I gave up eventually as he was beginning to look a bit irate and i'm sure he could beat me up if he really felt like it...
