well i think he just finds that schecter custom design too hindering on his upper frets access. he's got pretty big hands but that might still get in the way, so he tweaked the design to make the cutaway, or should i say boxaway, lower and have more wood beneath. then when he was done tweaking the design, being the @sshole that the ceo of gibson is, he prob just proclaimed it as a new and original design

Ok people, NOTHING quoted above addresses this thread AT ALL. If you ask me, I'd say the above comments were just mindless criticism, simply written to target the TS. Truth is, I'm pretty sure ALMOST EVERYONE got the TS' message the first time we read it, and even if you didn't, it wasn't his 'English' that hindered easy comprehension. So lay off the harsh comments please. Even if you guys really did want to help improve the standard of English here, you think criticism is the way to go (though I myself don't see the need of any improvement)? Please guys, lets keep this forum friendly and not turn against or even gang up against another member. I believe as long as the TS can be understood, its FINE.

back to topic. The Zakk coffin shaped guitar is downright hideous, but copied? Doubt you can say 'copied'. Its probably just a random un-copyrighted design. I'm actually pondering more on WHY Zakk chose to make the Graveyard Disciple. I guess its pretty unique and all, but you'd expect a signature guitar to receive more positive feedback. I mean, I'm not even a ZW fan but I actually liked his Les paul a lot. So, WHY??
Hmm. well its true that maybe in forums the main focus is to get the message across. But dont you agree that maybe writing in better english means getting the message across easier. Okay maybe not in this thread but i've seen others who may have spoken in atrocious english and many have found difficult to decipher. Im not trying to cause a war of words here. Just stating my honest opinions. I mean after all i cant change what you write on the forums anyway

liked his les paul alot too. and his sg mix flying v was on the border of wild. but this one was just hilarious :mrgreen:

Because of Money? I mean, a man's gotta eat right? The question you should be asking is why are these fugly designs primarily made by Epiphone and not Gibson? (except that gross SG/V hybrid)
On that note about whether the standard of English in our local forums should be improved? Of course it should! Half the reasons we get foreigners coming here and leaving quickly is because they can't understand what we're saying! Otherwise this forum would have gotten more and more metropolitan!
Furthermore, the old birds are posting less these days because they can't keep up with the localspeak! Wah piangz! So hard to catch why bother? Already catch no ball, read somemore lagi blur!

not so much hard to catch imho, its the calibre and quality of topics/info sharing which really make some moved away to greener pasture.
hehe, doesnt help that some of it are almost like half blind leading the blind, right to the wall, bang and bang.... my hokkien peng u would call it, ummm si long piak, tio si hor lan...(if its not bang wall, it got to be really lost)

Erm... who cares about sales when I'm getting my cash upfront? I like it, but doesn't mean the rest of the world may dig it. Also, what you (and me) find fugly may not apply to the fanbois and the metalheads.
Besides, Zakk Wylde looks cool with the guitars. But they'd look like crap on me.:mrgreen:

Thats a fallacy of hasty generalization. This mere population on soft does not represent the entirety. It might not sell well to softies, but who knows it might sell well to every other non-soft guitar players/collecters/money-throwers.
