DiD anyone's guitar drop the ground b4?

HideX_X, actually cosmetic defects can be nice. it's like a signature...
my personal guitar is a fender american standard strat. couple of years back, the guitar strap gave way and it kissed the ground. a chunk of paint about 1cm by 3cm came off the guitar. a chunk of my heart also came off...
i still remember going all over the place asking if anyone could repair this. but after awhile, the cosmetic defect seems nice. now? no way am i getting it fixed.
read somewhere that fender guitars are bomb proof. after that incident (and dropping my guitar a few more times...) i kind of understand why...

Ech man u vs arsenal, lol, anyway i have like 2 very obvious dings, ones in the front which was made by the shop [its a display set you see], paint chipped off, but im more pissed at the one i made, the one in the back, a 1 cm crack tt was made by my elbow [dont ask how, but my elbow hurt a lot]
All three guitars (electric, classic and acoustic) have scratches and dents all over. It is perfectly normal for your beloved instrument no matter how ridiculously expensive it is, to hit the ground. Hard.
I find it adds personality. The acoustic that has by far suffered the most damage, was given by friends has signatures all over it and at the same time dents and scratches that can be quite hard to see. Most of them were caused by people borrowing my guitar. So it's really easy to identify most of them. I like to think the guitar's more than just an instrument or music-maker, it's a collage of memories from gigs, to regular handouts and the numerous camps with friends I've had. Same with the other two guitars, though I've brought my acoustic to a lot more gigs than the others.
At the end of it, I'd rather have a blemished guitar to hang on the wall when arthritis hits hard (that will be...several years) than have a perfect, shiny shrine.

My previous guitar, a.k.a my very first one was very well taken care of by its owner (ME lol). No cracks, no neck warps, no nothing. Until one stupid day. Was at a jamming session with my friends, then one of them wanted to play with it, which was fine, the %@)^%)@#$&)@%*& thing was, when he stopped playing it, he just make it lay against the wall, and POOF, it dropped, paint chipped, heart hurt, lol
Second time was when I was practicing at home, then when I took off my guitar from the strap, its headstock accidentally hit the ceiling fan. The fan blade was dented, and my guitar had a small dent on the side of the headstock, lol xD.

the strap of my Ibanez RGT42DX (which is a neck-through guitar) slipped and the guitar literally bounced off my marble floor. it was left with multiple chips on the back of the guitar and a huge crack on the neck.i just stoned and stared at it for a couple of seconds.got it repaired and its very playable but still not the same....

A long time ago, my first guitar (a cheap Yamaha classical) fell facefirst onto the floor. It was like, boiiiiiiinnnnnnn. Surprisingly there was no damage.
But I've swung my Ibanez GSA around quite a bit, and its headstock and body edges always get dented by furniture. Usually not the floor though. Makes my guitar look like an experienced road warrior
