hmm...davis service so far ok lah, though i did notice that the boss looks stern and suspicious of all people who walk into the shop. He was never rude to me b4, but saw him being rude to an ang moh(who could not speak english well). I was feeling pretty unhappy about it, but decided that since he is the one buying all the stock, he naturally must feel protective over his gear(though i still think he's being overprotective).
Went there yesterday for a wah wah pedal and asked to try the classic wah by morley, Janet was the one serving me(if her name is janet
). Anyway it was the perfect service experience for me, not because of her looks or anything, but because she was extremely polite and efficiently helpful. Also was very enthusiastic to let me try out the gear, thats important cos it makes the customer feel more at ease. Brought my own guitar to test out there, and when the classic wah pedal wasnt strong enough with my guitar, she recommended the Pro II wah, also by morley. It cost just $25 more, which shows that as a salesperson, she was not just out to earn more money by recommending the most expensive one. It turned out to be much better with my guitar.
Finally, as a added bonus, she looked at the slash's snakepit logo on my guitar and commented that it was a nice guitar. She also asked me where I got it from, how much it cost, and if the seller gave me the hard case or not. And when i told her that the seller kept the hardcase, she gave a look of displeasure.
Haha, so for me? Experience in Davis Guitar is good! Or rather ranges from average to good, depending on who the person serving me is. Just sharing my views on the customer service, cos in the end, its we customers who benefit from such postings. Hope you guys will share the good and bad you have to say about this shop(since the thread is about it.).
