the SZ320 is $950 (list) @ the Sims Drive warehouse. this price includes GST, as stated on the tag.

haha... shredcow u just beat blackmoo to a better deal...

Anyway I tried an ibanez prestige during the sale... haha my first and I wasn't very impress by it...

Don't ask why, but I got my hands on a squier strat, to try. Yeah the thing is... I'm surprised by the drop in standards by Squier. I've held better standard Squiers before and the more modern models don't seem to cut it.

The current Squiers are way better than those pre-2k. The best Squiers would be the 1984 period, those were made in Japan.

but were the squiers called smth else?

they were initially labelled Fender (the famous/infamous JV series), then later renamed Squier by Fender, ie marketed as "lesser than" fenders, to prevent "Cannibalism" of the Squiers into Fenders.

* uh ya... "cannibalism" is a marketing term... used to describe the phenomenon where people start getting lower priced products when the features between that and a higher priced product is marginal. sorry i forgot about the technicality of that term.
