Damage Control Solidmetal

Softies, need help urgent. Its a matter of curing my GAS...

Ok I'm about to pull the trigger on the solidmetal but the thing is the pedal really needs alot of juice to run. It does come with its own adapter but since I'm gonna get it online the adapter would probably be one with a US plug.

So here's the question, since it needs 9V ~ 2000mA to run, would the normal 1spot work for it?

And I checked, 1spot only up to 1700mA max.

Hmm.. the way I see it you can't get it brand new for that price unless you buy a used one from ebay. I checked on Musician's friend, Ebay and some other authorized online dealers

lifele55! listened to the soundclips on the site. that's some brutal stuff! judging solely from the clips, if you're after that kind of tone (teh br00talz), may I suggest the Righteous Tones Fang.

Haiya, well actually if I don't get this I'd probably go for Reezafratzitz, also another killer pedal. About the Righteous Tones Fang, never really heard it but I saw one for sale either at TGP or HC forums. But then again I have yet to try the Solidmetal as well!

Any idea if there's an adapter to power this monster guys?

I have the Righteous Tones Fang and it the heaviest pedal i've owned (been thru quite a bit of high gain pedals including the Reeza). It's very tweakable in terms of tone. Don't expect any bullshit OD sounds from it, the gain starts from face-melting to body-dissolving. You won't need anything above 10am, it's THAT brutal. Having said all that, it's voiced for modern metal, more chunk and thump, midrange-perfect.

And for the price, it's impossible to beat it with another.

Sounds killer, almost to the point of too much gain! Hmm, gonna look for sound clips. But it is kinda hard to get one isn't it...

jdawg will keep you posted on that Reeza, which would most likely be what I'll get since the problem with the SM adapter and the price of getting it from Malaysia is just insane.

But you haven't include shipping price yet..I think will not be cheap too going by the size of the pedal and the packaging. Definitely more than SG$400. Not to discourage you, but these are the things you have to consider esp when buying overseas.

Lol of course I think about shipping charges when getting something overseas. But yeah no worries, not discouraged. And yes the bay goes for lesser than that

i used to have an interest in Damage Control pedals, these are under Peavey ownership currently- perhaps the Peavey distributor here would consider?
