may i suggest bringing in Snake Oil Strings? loads of positive reviews on harmony central and online, apparently extremely long lasting,great tone and higher tension than other brands.

been hooked on DR 'tite' strings quite a while now, just strapped on a trial set of CurtMangan. was planning to practice after my little one has slept, hahah still noodling away after 2 hours maybe its just me in the zone, nice strings though Kerr.

tried my CurtMangan stringed strat at the club, thru the JCM800 halfstack. these strings has its own thing going. nice tension. it sure owns brands that are priced at $5.50 - 6.00. 2nd day on them.

in the 50s and 60s strings were made from nickel.

Just got myself a .54 nickel wounded set for drop-C tuning. Sounds a wee bit more articulated than my previous set of d'addario. Nice.

Fitted the Curt Mangan (Curt Angle) strings last week. Definately better than D'Addario strings. Brighter sound.

Just hope it has a longer tone life....
