Altho, in my opinion, breaking the neck is excessive. Just inserting wood glue and clamping it down will do.

Wood glue from ART friend, $6. Clamps from daiso, $2. Total cost, $8.

I will not suggest you to do any repairing on your own, leave it to the pro, don't try to save money and in the progress you do more harm than help to your guitar. I would suggest Malcolm too.

+1 for Malcolm. He repaired a similar crack on my guitar and gave it an awesome set up. Its been 4 months and there have been no issues whatsoever.

You should email him direct at fix@mtlutherie.com for a quote or bring it down to his place. My price might not be applicable because i had him do other stuff plus a setup.
