Just canvassing opinions. Do you think Cort, as a brand, is underrated for the stuff they produce?

definitely. people kinda get dismissive when this brand name is mentioned, until one tries the product in person.

sad to say in SG where guitars prices and choices are wide, purchases are made with intent of "RESALE" value and "RESALEABILITY".

Cort is definitely underrated....the guitars they make are very good for the price...once the electronics are changed...so u must budget accordingly...u NEEDto change the stock pickups...maybe the tuners as well

Edder: Haha, dam true...never thought about it that way...

Bluepowder: So you reckon those parts need some upgrades huh?

My own experience is, my friend went to SL some years ago and chanced upon this Cort acoustic (I dunno what model, it doesn't say on the guitar), which is unvarnish and handcrafted. It was bought only for $450! And all these years it played great and no major faults were found. It's unofficially the church property now somehow. That gave me the good impression of Cort. Subsequently I checked out other Cort shipments years later, and found the quality of these later shipments somehow to be inferior. Why is there such a phenomenon ah? It's the exact same story with my Dean guitar, except this one is totally mine :D

Subversion is right. I need to check it out in person one more time to get a feel of the axes for myself.

CORT PLAYAS UNITE! CORT BOLEH!

No, I've checked against the pics on the website. The label is inside the Soundhole of the guitar, and its an ordinary model no. fx something. Basically I dun see it on thier website. Maybe discontinued.

Nearly bought one years back, sounded and played very well. But got an epi lp instead due to the looks and cos it was by "gibson", that was many years back. Was and still is a huge fan of slash.

Well if you get the higher end series of cort electrics, doubt that you'll need to change anything. From experience, ive found that most of the time its better to buy something u like off the shelf and keep it stock. Rather than looking for something cheap to modify.

If you're looking for something with a floyd rose trem, this is prob the best that cort has right now.

Otherwise u might want to look at other brands. Ibanez prob has the best floyd trem at the most reasonable prices with guitars with the edge 3 tremolo. Otherwise be prepared to fork out around 1200-1500 for something with an original floyd rose. Products like the epiphone prophecy series, schecter blackjack atx and the esp ltd 600 series. For a bridge like the floyd, tuning stability is everything.

i'm a bit biased lah,
but really i felt all their series looks good and cater to many different aspects and not just 1.

i have the Cort B4 bass right now
i'm planning to get a cort EVL series or X series guitar,
any suggestions?
haha.

i'd highly recommend Cort's Earth Series. I own the Earth-70, which is the lowest in the Earth Series. It plays beautifully, and has a nice warm sound. I've tried lotsa other guitars out, and in my opinion, its the best-sounding acoustic guitar in its price range :)

i'm using a cort master piece series MMP2 ...couldnt find any info on the cort webby

The closest i can find is this MMP3 ....could it be discontiuned ? pls help guys ....
