BIG THANKS TO ERIC WHO BROUGHT ALL COREY'S STUDENTS TO PAY HIM LAST RESPECT..

Thanks to all kakis who came to the wake at 38 Sin Ming Drive today.

Corey's wake will continue tomorrow.

His body willl then be moved to Blessed Sacrament Church in Tanglin Halt on Mon aftertoon 230pm for mass, after which they will be going to Mandai Crematorium at 515pm.

FYI - For those who missed out on final farewells,

On a seperate note, it was indeed a rocking Heritage session at JJ Alacante tonite with various ex members of Heritage coming down to rock the house. "Scary" Gary played one hell of a kick ass drum solo, Steve Rufus brought the house down withhis sax work & Chris Ong & Dharma rocked it hard with their guitar work. Great free food too...a memorable night for all and a fitting send offf for Corey

cheers

I was sad to hear the news, my sympathies to his family and friends, he will be widely missed.

Regards
Lazius

I can't believe it..

He was changing his life for the better, starting to take care of his health, work on starting his drum school.

It wasn't his time to go.

It was NOT his time to go.

Till we meet again

Will anybody from here be attending the funeral today?

Corey had Kidney Problem already for past 20 years. Had a tube on his body (the brother says - as big as the Fish tank oxygen hose)...when he plays drums he can feel the pain, yet he persisted because of his love in Music & drumming. He never tells people his problem, he was a strong man I learn to respect, always trying to be cheerful (that's why he behave like a kid many a times - I understand him)...

He goes to GH for (the kidney machine thing - 3 times a week) - I believe this is a painful experience each time, get tired of course after that, yet persisted. I speak to him alot over the phone, wanted to meet him for the 1st time on Saturday Clinic, but he died on Friday (I'm so sadden by his death even till now)....

I called him at 3pm on Friday (his phone was offline) as I feel uneasy why he never call me (cause next day is his clinic)...Corey call Drummeright (his student) tell her to take good care of herself at 5pm.....at 9 I received the shocking news he is dead.

Corey's passion into drumming & Music is very admirable . His brother told us, in spite the mother tells him to change job because of his Kidney Problem) - Corey would just want to play the drums, took the pain each tiome he drum....such passion such love for drums - definetely deserve my utmost respect to Corey - Corey shall be remembered and his name will still be in our COMMITTEE OF DRUM EXHANGE IN SOFT....he is indeed a committee here.

That night after the "AWAKE" on Friday - myself, Harry & Lawrence and Chun Leng were together and atended the Heritage Anniversary too...There Lawrence pass me some Photos & clips taken of Corey (our Brother) a few weeks before he died - - His Happy Moments - Thanks to Lawrence - I'm posting it up here - but because it's taken using a Lawrence's Phone - it's not so clear - - - - at least we remember him - THis is COREY...

Hi All,

I am doing a band performance & drum performance tribute for our brother Cory Nonis. I understand there are some of you wanting to do this as well? I really don't want to do so many tributes so its will be good if you and I collaborate and do just one tribute. I have involved 3 professional bands such & it will be incorporated with a drum performance featuring cory's favourite students and myself.

I was with cory on the night before he died till 3am and we were at his favourite makan place talking about the next days clinic. Cory & I have been buddies for almost 18 years and we have a lot of memories so I hope we can collaborate and do a good one for Cory!

Anyway, when I was with him, he was so enthusiastic and extremely excited about our clinic the next day. Make a long story short, I DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE CORY'S DREAM INCOMPLETE! I told many that I feel its a personal responsibility for me to carry on what he wanted.

James and MD I understand that from Cory that he personally invited both of you as his special guest so I hope you know how he felt about you guys. I hope you too can assist in this tribute.

Another thing is that, I will need to do this really fast b4 this month as I will be in Australia for 2 months from mid June till July. August is not good a I will be in Europe and 2 more other countries so time is really pressed for me. I was suppose to be in KL after Cory's talk show clinic but now things are on postponement till Thursday where I will be off to Malaysia. I just like you all are still in shock.

So guys PLEASE call me directly on my mobile (please don't sms or email) bcos certain correspondences can't be done in this way or ot will take ages and many miscommunications.

This is my hp no 97459104. If I am busy or don't answer, you can call my wife Sarah. PLEASE call me by this week as I mentioned that I don't plan to wait for ages to do something simple.

Thank you for your co-operation

Kenny
