Control: Film by Anton Corbijn

I would but 14 bucks to watch a film with a bunch of film nerds/middle-aged joy division fans and oggle at gibson guitars is a bit too expensive, in my ever humble opinion.

oh yeah, charity. :)

Actually I've already watched the film. It's pretty good. Anton Corbijn is a good directory and a great photographer. However I doubt a lot people in Singapore know who Ian Curtis is.

uber cool

.absolutely not missing this one.
.Ian is legend.
.whats even more satisfying is that its all for charity.
.so guys, lets "dance, dance, dance to the radio...".

you'll be surprised by how many Singaporeans know who Ian Curtis is.

oh no i will be out of town those days..........been wanting to catch Control for the longest time.....Joy Division are truly one of the darkest greatest most influential bands in history. Go get the 2cd remasters of their 2 classic works Unknown Pleasures and Closer from HMV now at 19.99 only!!!

yeah caught that at filmfest some yrs ago........quite a nonsensical look back at the glory years of Factory Records, what a great label.......

I love the movie. It was hilarious!

The best quote of the show - Steve Coogan in the Jesus outfit

"Hey, you might have missed out on signing The Smiths but at least, you didn't get that shit - Simply Red."

.uber cool.

Caught the 1.30pm slot at the Substation just now, and it was satisfying.
Apart from the non-existant air-conditioning, the screening was a blast especially thanks to the merchandise table and the mini-exhibtion held outside.

And yes, got myself a "Control" tee~! dope.
