Choosing this forum since it gets the most readership.

Would like to independently urge members to donate to SOFT (details here SOFT = Music In Singapore - PayPal Donate). Over the last four months, for a forum with over 15000 members, *only* 25 people have given money.

Not trying to shame anyone into doing this (people should give because they want to and because they get value, not because they feel obligation) but the opposite - show your support - even for a small amount such as 2 or 5 bucks. Many people get a lot out of this site (which no doubt costs a huge amount to run in terms of hosting and maintenance costs). It's definitely worth at least $50 bucks a year to me for the distraction, enjoyment and learning I get from it.

If you don't have PayPal you can send James money in the post. I'm sure he'll be nothing but delighted to have a box full of PMs asking where to send the cash. (sorry James)

i haven't donated anything financially yet. but apart from just cash, i'm sure what this forum also needs is knowledge/experience and "friendly-family" . the next time you bump into a budding newbie who just bought his/her first guitar/bass or drums or anything regarding music, the first place anyone should recommend is "SOFT forum". I mean seriously this is a "portal" where anyone into music can just come in and ask questions and actually get friendly help and make friends. "you can't trust anyone AT ALL on the net." will not be applied to soft forum. however i'm sure james(soft) will take all precautions necessary to block out anyone who tries to abuse that trust.

That's ok - if you can't afford it, don't donate - everyone's fine with that. And nobody's hassling anyone and coming after them.
