I got my poly package in the mail today and i realised they said no long hair.But they're not strict on this rule right? Cos i see long hair everywhere(omg it rhymes)
Clarification for keeping long hair in poly XD

then you need to ask yourself why you wanna keep long hair.
1. because you are a poseur?
2. because you wanna star in some shampoo commercial?
3. because singapore is not hot enough for you, so you need the hair to keep your head warm?
4. because you wanna attract members of the opposite (or same, depending on your sexual orientation) sex?
5. because you lowballed the barber and he refused to cut your hair for such a paltry sum?
6. because you don't have money to go to the barber?
7. because you wanna save money from going to the barber?
8. because you have a fear of cutting hair or going to the barber?
9. because you look like a cuckoo without long hair?
10. all of the above?

Its nonsense. I had long hair my whole 3 years in poly. Poly also say no slippers. Rules are there in place, but they don't enforce it.

I don't know about the other polytechnics, but it isn't against the rules to have long hair in Republic Poly. But when you work in the laboratory (if you do the science courses) you will have to tie up your hair if it is long. It is against the rules to have your hair dyed in unusual, overly bright colours, though.
Oh, another rule in RP. No slippers. But they never enforce, majority of students in RP including myself wear slippers anyway.

If this is to clarify, yes they don't really care about the length of your hair.

Don't rub it in, it hurts.
I just cut away all my hair last month, not because of any reason you stated above, but to make someone happy. I regret it with all my heart.

Short hair for the win.
I have short hair now, and everyday is a living nightmare. I'm not a sentimental person but I wish I kept a lock of hair I chopped off. *sniff*..
And no long hair doesn't suck. BUT, I came to the conclusion, that most girls dislike guys with long hair. All my guy friends, especially musicians slayed me when I cut my hair, the girls on the other hand....

lol, short hair is neat and it's not that irritating, imo. anw, you are going NS soon right? So not much of a difference, haha.
it might be because they think that having long hair is a girl's privilege. LOL.

I feel ya Dude. Everytime i leave it till a length that is considered "Long" I had to cut it for those reasons i stated. So hard to express myself in this country
