what kinda tone are you after? these amps are superb for that prickly, Brit rock voicings. for metal- not quite...

Hello everyone...just read the posts. was lookin around for a full-tube amp about a month back and it got down to a choice between the AC15 and the Fender Blues Jr. AC15 sounded real sweet but i think it didnt have the mid-tone controls. And i'm not quite sure about the reliability so went with the blues jr..which i got for close to $700!! (fender week @ swee lee) Life has never been the same again. and if you have the cash to burn, might wanna check out the '59 Bassman.

Yes....brit rock - prickly, trebly and shrilly (cure, smiths, beatles and echo and the bunnymen etc.)..... going for EL84s

and to complement my kingsnake which takes care of the 6L6s.

I like the amp and thot that its value for money at its price point even though it might not be boutiqued quality and chinese made.

I asked one of the city music guys about that amp and he gave me the "can lah" type of answer. I guess its not really that good.

yup i'm thinking of heading down to give it a shot later.

harmony central reviews say that it's great for the price. well i'm a pedal kind of person so i guess the dist/od channel doesnt matter much to me. i just need to amplify the sound.

excited to try it. $350, good man!

Had my AC30CC1 for 1 day...wow....if you like brit rock. U'll like the chimey, jangly sound. At 1.2k i thinnk its really worth the money. My Les Paul sounded very good with it.....

Forget abt the made in china stigma, this amp has it. All who has the capability should get this amp imo.

Real estate is a problem though....and its loud. Play thru a attentuator should help...i use the Dr Z airbrake.

hey man..how about vox gadget?? is it cheap? worth to buy?? tube gadget is better or sansamp GT2? which should i get? i wan a very solid distortion..

i take it that your 'gadget' here = pedals, because a screwdriver is a useful gadget per se...

the VOX tube equipped pedals are above-average but nothing too fantastic. tube doesn't equal good tones. MI Audio's Tube Zone has no tubes on board & it'll shame many tube-laden ones.
