juz 4 home use...not need the long-lasting1 1s like boss n etc...

juz wanna toy around with effx cuz my amp dont hav overdrive...

Multiefx or single efx?

For singles, you can try the Danelectro line. SOme Boss pedals are cheap (DS-1 for 70).

Try the Tone-Lok series by Ibanez too, some cheap stuff there that performs decently

danelectro are quite cheap. Ibanez tone-lok. Boss DS-1. I've seen some cheaps ones but I forgot what brands. Nvm. Hope this helps!

Be wary with the Ibanez tone lok... not all are good. Stuff like the Smash Box is utter crap IMO.

Boss has the DS-1 ($70) and SD-1 ($60). Danelectro stuff go for $75 on at Yamaha.

If you just wanna mess around and experience stuff, get a multi efx... preferably something in the mid range area... since you do want to have something marginally good right? Right?

yeah the SM7's distortion is quite crappy......

IMO there are a few notable models in the Tone-Lok range, I'd recommend the TS7 Tubescreamer and DE7 Delay

SD-1 is Boss's basic (and cheapest) overdrive pedal.

DS-1 is its distortion counterpart.

The different between distortion and overdrive, summed up simply, is the basic tone that you get, generally, distortion will sound harsher than overdrive. Overdrive is meant to emulate the sound of a tube amp cranked until it distorts, while distortion is more of a gainy kinda sound, not as warm as overdrive.

P.S. I'm selling a Boss DS-2 distortion actually, the bigger brother of the DS-1. Going for 60 because it's not in very good cosmetic condition. PM me if you're interested

for nu metal a dist will be better.

people get a od pedal to switch from clean channel to od easyly at a tap or their foot. or just cuz it will probably sound btr then the amp's od.

i mean ... ppl might think it is better coz got more options, but unless you intend to send it for a mod .. i'd advice against it.
It sounds super thin and imo quite disgusting .. ~

especially when you campare it with the ds1 ...

hi there. may i know which yamaha outlet sells the danelectro pedals??? they sound quite good from the website. the FAB distortion doesnt sound bad. was thinking of getting the flange and distortion.
