Changing title of posts.

re the tiger thread ...we really need to amend the "Singapore" worker to Malaysian worker or just "worker" ......

it was quite clear that this was not meant nor conveyed as constructive feedback.....

"I request that they put (changed by "moderator's name) after they change it so that it is not misrepresented as something the original poster wrote."

In what way is the above not constructive feedback?

my friend your attitude came across clearly in the thread itself..thats all im saying

Knowing how to title your thread is part of forum etiquette; a moderator should change it whenever necessary, with a footnote summarising the edit in 2-3 words including the name of the moderator:

"edited by blabla"

gutturalpiss, better still, have an AI to verify title/thread/post on submission.

We will try our best but sometimes, it is just no easy to provide First Class service.

Nono, that's not what I meant. Basically, if a moderator spots a badly-titled thread, he/she has the right to change it (and encouraged by standard forum rules; hence "should").

At the same time, though, just a little note below the post would help keep the whiners like these away. There are forum engines that do this automatically - there may also be a way to script it.
