Carl Verheyen Setup

Any of you guys familiar with this or have done the same setup to your strat? (apart from wck):
I've managed to do it to my Sterling Silo 30, however, I find that tuning isn't that stable. Tuners are working well, nut is well lubricated. What else am i missing out?

I've read on the EBMM forum that some of the guys there have done it to their Lukes and ALs, which essentially have the same bridge as the Silo. So not sure what I'm doing wrongly here.

Not completely sure how does a silo bridge differ from a traditional strat bridge but are you sure you got the pull-up intervals right? (string G = 1 1/2 step, B = 1 full step, E = 1/2 step). You can also put a lubrication on the part of the saddle where the strings are in contact.

I have it on my strat for the past two years and it's really stable. If you go out of tune, you just have to pull up the bar fully and you're back in pitch.

Yup definitely sure that I have got the intervals right. It's a 2 point bridge. There's some slight tarnish on the saddles, do you think that could be causing the prob?

If it's properly lubricated, I don't think the saddles would be the culprit. It could be your tuners(eventhough you said you think they're good) or maybe on the number of string wraps on your string posts? Do you follow the two-post allowance for restringing tuners?

Yup I followed it. My tuners are Schaller locking tuners, so they only have 1, max 2 wraps around each tuning post. Hmm, even if you do dives and all it still doesn't go out of tune?

Most of the time, it doesn't go out of tune. If ever it does, it's just slight and all I have to do is pull up the bar fully then it'll be in tune when it returns to your set neutral position.

Actually if you pull full up and it goes in tune the stability shdn't be much of an issue. Unless it doesn't go back in tune when you pull up.
