I just thought that it would be fun to see if people can actually identify it, purely from the tone alone.

i cant id the pedal, but seem like the clip is rather similar to all the various overdrive pedal clips they have on site...different pedals, but similar demo riff.

Actually most damned OD sounds pretty much the same. IMHO.

I've heard a coupla of OD shootouts from other forums, and they all just serve to reinforce my statement.

Its the FEEL.

I don't care how it SOUNDS like because most (if not all) boutique ODs out there sound GREAT, its just one's preference.

But what I care about how is how it FEELS. How does it react to my playing.

Granted, you listen to the clips on the blackstone website, a/b-ing 3 diff ods with the blackstone, you can hear them all.... the different tones... All sound good to whatever you think is good.

But not all will feel good.

I can record with a pedal and people will say it sounds good. But I can tell you i'm not playing in a manner that I'm happy with.
I can go gig, and have GREAT TONE!!! But if the feel's missing, I get irked, I don't play the way I should be playing.

Its all about feel man... SINCE, most booteek ods already sound good.
