buzzing sound.

er recently i keep getting buzzing noises from my amp whenever i plug it into my gt2. it only stops when i touch the metal head or pedal case but the buzzing continues when i touch my guitar strings ( lol close circuit). whats the cause?

btw my guitar (epiphone g400)has a really loose input jack, sometimes muting out my neck pickup. could be the pickup selector too arghh

anyone knows? the buzzing sound just got worst, dont know if its the amp or the guitar.

mattleesc, since u mentioned the input jack of ur guitar is loose, it could be one of the wire is disconnected, or the earth wire is touching the hot wire. the best way is to send it to any shop that does guitar service repair.

It could very well be the amp too. It may not be earthed.

Do check if theres a colony of bees living inside your amp. That could explain the buzzing.
