have any one bought from tomlee music b4.? can comment on their service.? they have some stuff that we may not get here, like the korg micro-x whilte limited edition.

also, i tot i should share that ishisbashi just brought down their price of the triton extreme 61-88 ( 61 key from ard 198 000 yen to 138 000 yen) , meaning ard $800 in savings.

wanna share wif u guys that korg prohibits export of its products from japan to overseas unless throught licensed distributers.
(we all know that gear is cheaper in japan, since, just for the record to reiterate.:) the 3 big boys are all jap brands: roland ,yahama and korg)

but we can use vpost japan to get ard this.

but no problem with roland stuff though.

example:

u can buy a juno G delievered to yr doorstep in a week, for ard $1480 (i got my kx 5 in just 4 days) brand new, with new backpackdesign gig bag . through ems somemore, can track item delivery status.

getting from *ahem* our local store ,"after discount" is $1600. i dunno wat kinda bag they gonna give.

in fact u can get almost any roland stuff cheaper from ishibashi. they do sell roland stuff overseas.

can anyone with experience with tomlee music and ishibashi ,pls confirm the above? if so, next time i will get my roland stuff from ishibashi and rare korg items from tomlee. i dun know bout yamaha though.

The problem is always support. If something goes wrong, local retailers will give you problems, or maybe charge you at an exhorbitant rate. Worse is if there's damage during the delivery. That may mean sending the unit back to them.

Hmmm Japan uses 110V, unless their keys are in the 220V we uses.
the difference in power voltage can easily solved by using a step-down transformer.

if you use a US or Japan gear, go buy a step-down transformer, bringing down a 220V to 110V.

I ever burned one US imported groove box by using its 110V power adapter.

yea.. i ever burned a digitech effect board b4 with the US -flown in adapter. we need to use out own adapter .

i guess warranty and voltage are the cons, over the cost savings pros.

unfortunately, not all of tom lee's products can be imported. they cannot export korg stuff. :(

micro x white
$758 canadian dollars.

ishibashi

hi, im interested in buying from ishibashi.
how do u proceed?
interested in the karma. only RM3200+
the used XP80 only RM1000+ !!

depends on where u are buying from...if u are buying from ishibashi and shipping to singapore...u need to regitster with vpost japan and get them to ship to a vpost add in japan. vpost will help u ship 2 singapore.

If you are buying from ishibashi, they can ship the item to worldwide thru EMS.
EMS is cheaper than Vpost.
It should reach you around 1 week or less.
You can check their english website (info only) for detail.
http://www.ishibashi-music.com/

I never buy anything from ishibashi before,
However, I always buy CD & books from Japan.
& all my purchase from Japan are shipped by EMS.
It is cheaper, tracking possible, & fast (normally 6 days).

However, if you still wanna stick to Vpost,
the following URL has the info & example that can guide you.
there is also a calculator for you to approximate the shipping cost.
https://www.vpost.com.sg/vpostjapan05/intro2.html

I never ship item with Vpost before, as the amount that I calculated using Vpost calculator always higher than the EMS.

hmmm..yes ems is cheaper than vpost but like i mentioned and he asked bout the karma, which is a korg product,

ISHISBASHI DOES NOT SHIP KORG PRODUCTS OVERSEAS. NEITHER DOES online shops like TOMLEE nor EUropean online shops.

thats why have to use vpost lor.

I've checked with vpost, they confirmed that they have shipped stuff from rakuten.co.jp b4 to singapore. they have korg stuff there.

of cos, if hes asking bout Roland stuff, so far, i've never heard bout any restrictions.seems that can bu from most online shops.

------------

just a note to mention, the Korg restriction only applies to new products. any thing u see in their used section("u-box") can be imported, regardless of brand. so far i've bought from ishibashi 3 times from the u-box, all no prob, by EMS. did i mention that the kx5 is up for grabs again in u-box.? :P

Tom Lee is a tad cheaper for the Fantom XR S$1787.42 vs S$1826.84 (from Rakuten).

It is in fact more convenient to get the XR from Tom Lee since one does not need to get a step down transformer.
