Blues/Jazz Must Haves

I need some new songs or band recommendations far from what I'm listening day in, day out. Having the "I'm-bored-and-sick-of-playing-guitar-syndrome" and need to listen/play to other genres to 'calm down'.

Any recommends guys? A few must haves in your playlist perhaps? Tracks with killer licks or stuff like that.

Local blues is very good!

I've got two tracks which feature singaporean blues guitar god, John Chee. His playing, together with Jeanne French's vocals, is way awesome.

^ ah bro, shouldnt you be playing tamiya now? jk

the only song i dig by JM is 'neon'. The guitar is so intricate. Plus he sings over it 8O.

Stevie Ray Vaughan:
- Live at Carnegie Hall
- Live at Montreux 1982 & 1985
- Texas Flood

Buddy Guy

Johnny Winter

Muddy Waters: The Essential Collection

Andy Timmons Band

Just to name a few,

For blues, u gotta listen to the 3 Kings - BB King, Freddie King and Albert King.
Superb vocals and guitar playing. Any of their live albums would be pretty killer stuff.
