Black metal Again?!!!!!!

i was watching this show on Suria Channel called "Hanyut"(show about teenagers juvenile cases such as gangsterism,drug abuse) and guess what..next week show is about a teen who was hooked to Black metal scene and culture..and how his life fell apart....hmm.....black metal is getting recognition alot nowadays...no offend though....but any comment on this?

i've watched a few episodes of that too... and yes, utter bullshit. it's just plain stereotyping and well done for having that being aired on tv because the ones who don't realise will probably follow suit if they had been looking for ways to 'be rebellious' and because not all will do exactly what the subtitles on tv say: 'warning!!! do not listen to such music!'. that's gonna be more crap built on crap :smt092

Why not target hip hop instead? Some of its lyrics promote violence, sex, showing off of bling bling, decadent lifestyle, etc. What makes it worse is that its all over the mainstream radio and on tv.

Its always those dumbloves that choose to think of black metal as another loving trend to appear fierce & feared, thus to rebel, & to b so troo that they look more like a wannabe. Hip Hoppers, Emokids, Punks, all have their casual orgies regularly. Now where's tht in the news?? I have a few friends who are into black metal, & are reli "true" & "underground", & r doctors, teachers, engineers by day :lol: Its just tht singapore has too many of those dumbloves i mentioned above.

Mr James, profanity is the result of anger & frustration. Even PHd holders & the best of cultured musicians sometimes/often use profanity. So what? ahakz....before i forget....i remember a few weeks back, reading this article about a illegal metal gig was going on in malaysia and the authority came by and stop and held a few singaporean of suspect of drug use....im not against the authority though...but what caught my eyes was this Singaporean girl who said...
"We came to see our friends band.They are not black metal bands but they are ska band."She added,"We don have long hair,we don do drugs?"
