Thanks a lot PatheinRaindropMoe. Got me confuse at first between Bill Lawrence and Bill Lawrence USA. But by careful look, Bill Lawrence USA look to be too commercialised. Big mass productions. Unlike Bill Lawrence (original) made by order. I like to give it a try.

it was over issue of business dispute long time ago. Both of them were partners in biz, but went separate ways

The one that most people refering to is from billlawrence.com, without the usa.

Isn't preference in tone subjective to the individual? So who has actually tried both and compared, and liked the tone of the BL (not-USA) one more?

i have tried the BL ones not BL USA.
but from alot of guitar forums and ppl i know, the majority has voted BL better than BL USA.

if you don't care about that, then it really doesn't matter which one you get coz from the reviews they're both good quality replacement pickups. it all depends which one YOUR ears like.

Wat i heard was dimebag had his own pickup from bill n becky, but dean fitted his guitar with the BL USA ones as part of endorsement or watever... So he gotta promote the USA ones.

Like another story that evh had play thru marshalls placed behind the stage, but placed the peaveys up front so fan see the peaveys. Endorsements...
