Bill Lawrence Cables VS George Ls?

omg..you mean you have been playing your pedals ONE at a TIME ?

anyway. just to highlight.. george Ls tend to have a problem with their solderless plugs coming loose - very embarrassing esp if your whole board is wired with them and your guitar suddenly no sound in the middle of a song.

Bill lawrence as mentioned by Mr. Edder sounds like a good bet.

other options u have Chern's cables, Canare Gs-6, Mr. Shredcow's Lava cables... evidence... etc..

happy hunting for your chosen brand~

gotta wait til my stuff on order arrives before i can order something else edder bro. Mostly one at a time. sometimes with half spoilt cheapo coloured patch cables. or borrowed patch cables from my bro.

At this point, i have 3 new cables. Soldered them last night. Klotz lagrange cables with neutrik heads and some other heads. Evidence audio's prices are through the roof man. From lavacablr arh. one LYRIC HG patch cable 49.95USD. SIAO BO.
Evidence cable from guitar to pedalboard and pedalboard to amp still reasonable lah. Yes ive yet to try chern;s stuff. The thing is on my blue ark patchbay, i dont have enough space to use anything besides the small plugs like GeorgeLs and BL cable. Hve not tried flatheads though.

Yeah man. Ive been reading that stuff bout George Ls and everyone(IIRC) is praising BL cable.

then the obvious next thing to do is to order the BLs when you get a chance to and if you're really keen to. no point wasting money and time trying this and trying that, reading and rereading this and that and then find out in the very end... BLs still pwns em all. while its all being subjective, i trust BL's ears albeit they're a bit old now and engineering excellence to know what he's doing.

i love his cables. i love his pickups. i love his prices. i love his honesty. he doesn't sell mojo. he sell stuff that works.

I noticed this thread went Off Topic (OT), so I dont feel so bad adding more OT to it.

to j_m_s: For patch cables, my personal preference is for EA Melody rather than EA Lyric HG. Lyric HG is their flagship model and priced accordingly. I recently ordered EA Melody cables from Lavacable and for a 20 inch EA Melody, its USD 22.95.

Apart from being pretty close sounding to the Lyric HG's, its easier to wrap around your pedalboard, since the Lyric HG's have a very stiff outer core.

My 2 cents.

Mind you - Lava Cables is not mine. Lavaman makes excellent high quality cables, I had a pair, and I offered a comparison (which had hilarious results) between the ELC and the venerable Planet Waves.

Anyway, I don't understand whats up with... CHERN'S cables... LAVAMAN'S cables... SHREDCOW'S cables...

Its not like we make the cables, so except for Lavaman who does have his own line, its kind of... weird to "market" it like so eh.

Just go for quality cables based on the important factors, quality heads and definitely - an excellent solder joint.

If soldered joints can be cold soldered... makes them no better than G Ls. Or maybe, just a little better. [/code]

serious!!! So its really true that you got that! Crazy bro, thats crazy. I thought its been a rumour when i heard that someone bought it in locally and it was you! I refused to believe it, but coming from you, i know i can trust ya!

We must have a shoot out! I got the older version of it without the "kacek fatimah" treated plug, aka the "impossimium" g cable!
