big or small?

small box records

hi guys.well,i'd like to ask bands here,

would you rather play in a big place lets say arts house, music garage, etc; where everyone sits down while you play OR play in a small venue like beat merchants where everyone stands.

coz its pretty sad when bands play in big venues where everyone just sits down

preferably small(er) venues, but it doesn't really matter as long as there's good sound.
and yes, sitting down is overrated. stand up and get your groove on!

prefer small man.........but hey doesn't ur sentence seems to be bias?? as in u only state e bad thing bout big place and good thing bout small place. lols

\Sorry man.........PEACE NO WAR!!!

i dun worry if the venue's big or small..as long as they're not sitting..
i hate it when my band has to performance where audiences will sit..
but we had to go thru tonnes of dat so as to get more recognition, dat's all i gotta say..
so it seems like a sacrfice, and feels like one too..

i'd rather play where there is good sound, regardless of big or small. if a bigger venue has better sound than a smaller venue, i'd rather play that. if a smaller venue has a better sound than a bigger venue, same applies.

ok since its about sound.

most new bands just plug and play. no not like windows.
plug ur guitar/bass in.and just play.

no tuning,no setting the volume,EQs on the amps.i think they are tone deaf or just deaf.

for god's sake,go and buy a tuner.that is most important gadget besides ur stompboxes/multi effects pedals.

and its up to the band to give such energy to the crowd. if the crowd can still sit down when the energy is high, i think theyre just retarded ah..

i prefer a stage like chain reaction, its actually kinda medium sized, but if the turn out is good, there wont be any place to sit, and the lightings and equipment there look dam shiok, maybe someone should build a singapore version of it..

An example of a small venue with ppl standing up.
Good sound? That u have to ask the organiser of this gig which brought in a Sydney grindcore band, Agents of Abhorrence. Or other bands that played in this gig.

If you're really damn good and the audience can feel your energy, you don't need to worry about audience members sitting down.

small and standing crowd.

really,remember IJ studios?

although it was hotttt, the atmosphere beats any other venues.
A pity it isn't around anymore.
