the usa has rural areas too. not every part of the usa is like what we see on tv and hollywood movies. do the rural folks in the usa care anymore or less about what washington does than the rural folks in china care about what beijing does? in my honest opinion, i don't think so.
I'm talking about the REALLY rural areas. Villages in mountains, where communications are extremely sparse. Even rural areas in USA has a decent means of communication. China, not so
i'm not sure that the usa don't suffer from the syndrome of "the richer don't get richer and the poor don't get poorer". especially given the usa's economic situation right now..
It's a lot more obvious in China, where the gaps between the various classes is blindingly obvious. In USA, this is cushioned by the fact that there are also many working-class and middle-class people. For China, there is also a extremely large number of people who are in the extreme lower-class.
it makes no difference whether they rely on certain industries over other industries. at least their economy is growing, and they are not in debt. can't exactly say the same of the usa.
True, but look at what industries that USA divulge themselves into. Perhaps I may have phrased it wrongly, my apologies. USA focuses a lot more into research. They are always constantly researching on the latest cutting-edge technologies, or finding ways and means to make it cheaper, better, and more affordable.
True, they are grossly in debt, but they always seem to have a stake in every new technology that comes. This comes out either through their funding of the project, if not they buy the technology and use it to their own benefit, a lot much quicker then other countries.
i'd love to hear what are the countries that are more technologically advanced and aeons ahead of a country that has a space program, nuclear capabilities, and the 3rd largest economy in the world.
Yes, but how much of this technology is being used by the masses?
china is much stronger than some people think.
I never said that China was weak, but I must disagree that we would ever see that day in our lives. It will still take many many years for China to really catch up. Next century? Still possible
