As you see from the above link, some people already have some sort of speech impediment that prevents them from pronouncing English words properly.

Later in life, this baby will go on and say 'flied lice' instead of 'fried rice', 'Cock' instead of 'Coke', 'floo joo' instead of 'fruit juice', etc. :mrgreen:

Has anyone ever talked in Singlish just so that you'd be accepted better? I did that at some points in my life, because I didn't want to seem 'angmohified' and proud. Like in NS especially.

I just wish that you guys could watch the China Mid Autumn celebration concert and the 60th Anniversary parade. If we still think that China is not in their top form, we are just too self centered to see it.

They are progressing way too fast.

Better brush up our Putonghua.

These 2 years, I've been to Beijing, Shanghai, GuangZhou & Yun Nan for holidays.. I'm impressed by their rich culture and also the modernisation in their big cities.. If you've not been to China lately, do consider.. it's good for creative people to expand their horizons.. new inspirations.. =)

when I sing in mandarin, I don't sound as good either.. haiz..

No, but I got used to it eventually.
I speak like some ang mo with a Singaporean accent and the weird "la" and stuff at the end of sentences lol
