Best wishes to all Muslim Softies this Ramadhan

bt nvm.....for the guys who go out to town on puasa, mata maintain....dun roll roll around ;)

No need to go town, I'm already having to maintain right here at work...

Anyway to all Muslims out there, may we all have the strength and endurance to last till the last day of Ramadhan. To those Softies that I have or might have offended, I offer you my sincere apologies as Ramadhan is also the time to seek fogiveness...

Remember though, your fasting will just be a wasteful day of thirst and hunger if you don't complete it with the 5 obligitory daily Solats...

aaah yes..i've always emphasised on fasting being wasted if u dont pray.

well to my non-muslim friends, does anyone of u all fast? i heard cristians fast too. pardon my ignorance if im wrong. so anyone out there? ive had non-muslim friends who fast together with us muslims to know how it feels. say, they did a really good job. no smoking food drinks vulgarities etc.

selamat berpuasa kepada semua.jgn makan tau.porn pon tak boleh.

Some Christians do fast, depending on their beliefs and denominations. I don't think there is a fixed period for fasting, unless you're Catholic? Not very sure about this as I'm not.:P

This is a great thread. God bless all Muslim softies out there. In a nation such as this which has known the damage that can be caused by religious division, we should take every opportunity we have to foster inter-faith unity and harmony.

Haha I sound like some PAP guy right. LOL.

dangg it kinda sucks to be fasting and having a damn bad headache and having to study for prelims at the same time.. ohwells persevere =D

in Islam, ur not forced to... if u really can't, then just break your fast but do remember to pay it back after the ramadhan is over. yup!

and we also have other flexibility in the 5 obligatory prayers when we're a musafir (someone who travels from country to country).. yeah

sorry its in malay!

I would think it would mean MORE to them, especially how the Badr Holy War was fought in Ramadhan.

the battle of Badr saw the Rasul fighting against disbelievers- it's truly a just cause. but what we have here are incorrigible militants who further their political cause more than letting down their arms in the name of respect for the holy month.

we should rmb those muslim nsf who r fasting and have to go thru training at the same time. very tough sia.

sub and thoa probably talking about two different groups of militants here..

but yea the militants sub referring to probably gonna just take advantage of ramadhan and do something bad ): i mean at other times they just claim to fight in the name of jihad just for their own wants. really sad ):

Actually, I was referring to the same militants. What I meant was that they will use the event of Badr as a twisted motivation factor, cos this is the month of purity. Those who are not with them are seen as against, even if peace was the motive. So Sub is right; any fighting in this month will be for political cause.

If anyone remembers, the Battle of Badr was also used as reference and motivation by Saddam Hussein during the first Gulf War, when G. Bush senior sent the US forces down to get Iraq out of Kuwait (It happened during Ramadhan as well).
