Beez or Standard value lah bro. personally, i go to beez. reasonable prices, and if you're nice, he might throw in a free setup or sth like that.

oh, and usually i think you can search for the pickup combos on google? but for other brands, i'm not too sure. hehe. see you in school tomorrow!

Nearly all shops which specialize in guitars do pickup installation. Its mainly just preference. Beez charges $25 per pickup when I last checked.

As for which pick up to use, it is all dependant on guitar specs, what kind of music you play, and what kind of tone you want from it.

Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio website has this wizard function thing that let's you input info about your guitar and type of music that you want, then it will give you some suggestions on what pickups to use. Go try. Pretty cool.

Saves you money too. Hopefully soon I'll have the time to learn how to setup and install pickups. It's not a complicated process I heard? My number one go-to guy for technical stuff is Mike at Standard Value, though might be a bit inconvenient if you live far from Woodlands.

Wait... Why are you thinking of changing pickups when you don't even know what you're about to do?

As Whitestrat has asked, why change the pickups when one does not know the sound or tone that one is going for? Each brand specialises in their own sound. I used to use EMG-81s on my LTD but now I've just installed John Suhr pickups. Best pickups in my view. But I digress.

You have to give us some knowledge of what you want in your sound or tone before we can help you. You can't just "tikam tikam". Might as well stay with your current configuration.

Whitestrat: that is the million dollar question that always gets ignored :(

Haha. I second that.
