im changing pups cuz my stock ones are muddy as hell

And why is it muddy? Single coils? Humbuckers? What guitar is it?

Good. You're headed in the right direction. Ask the right questions. Now you know that muddiness is something you don't like. How is muddiness solved using your current rig? Are you running high gain or low gain?

and i'd seriously recommend you just move out of your home, get yourself to beez or mike at standard value and they'd do the rest for you.
